
The Industry Remembers and Mourns Educator and Artist Dominique LyVar
Dominique LyVar, an influential educator and artist, is remembered by those who loved him for his significant impact on the industry and contributions to the community.
Thomas Gebhart, formerly of Eurasia Concepts dba Bio Ionic/Agave Healing Oil, has joined California-based Luxury Brands LLC dba FHI Heat as its newly appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Responsible for all divisional operations for the manufacturer of multiple brands of personal hair care tools and products, Gebhart brings nearly two decades of expertise in the beauty industry to the company. His role as COO will be to drive the strategy and development of all brand initiatives including new product development, global sales and distribution, and marketing strategy for Luxury Brands LLC.
Prior to his time with Eurasia Concepts, Gebhart served as SVP and General Manager of Belson, a subsidiary of Helen of Troy, leading the company's Professional Personal Care division. From 2001 to 2007, he served as the VP of Merchandising of Sally Beauty Company, where he was recruited from BeautyFirst, a chain group of beauty supply and beauty salons with more than 100 doors, working as their Director of Merchandising.
