Cosmetologists Chicago (CC), the salon professional non-profit that owns America’s Beauty Show (ABS), and Questex, the producers of the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conferences (IECSC) have changed the dates for their 2019 co-located event in Chicago’s McCormick Place, due to a conflict at the venue. The industry’s well-established beauty ritual will now be held Saturday, Sunday and Monday, March 30 through April 1, 2019.

In announcing the date changes, CC CEO Paul Dykstra noted that “When we learned that McCormick Place will be mounting a conflicting event across from our new spacious North Hall location, we reconsidered our dates immediately. These new dates will allow us to expand our space at McCormick Place, offer reduced hotel rates at some of Chicago’s finest hotels, along with host the CIDESCO World Congress and other special events.”

Liza Wylie, VP Events, Beauty & Spa Group, Questex, added “Our combined goal is always to provide both our exhibitors and valued attendees the best possible experience at our co-located events. With these new dates, we will have many more opportunities to provide the quality trade show and superior educational format our events are known for throughout the industry.”

A thorough examination of industry, local and academic calendars, assured the organizers that March 30 – April 1, 2019, would be the ideal dates. Initial opportunities include reduced hotel rates, unchallenged exposure at McCormick Place and no competing major international events in the professional salon and spa industry.
