Most viral post: Peanut butter and jelly hair. I colored a client’s hair and it turned out to look like peanut butter and jelly. So after posting it to my page with the caption “PB and J,” it was picked up by Allure, Teen Vogue, The Zoe Report, Revelost, PopSugar, MTV Beauty, multiple news stations, blogs, and publications. It blew up and was insane to watch.
Favorite apps: Facetune is really the only app I use to smooth clients skin if I need it. I spend hours getting the hair to look perfect in person instead of having to fix it in an app. My clients probably hate me for it, but I’m a perfectionist!

Pro tips: It’s important to know your audience and what they want to see. Creating an aesthetic that is recognizable by people is great because. Great lighting and a clean background are important as well.
Hidden beauty talent: I got a perfect score on the nail portion of my state board. It was the highest score of any part of the test. Maybe I’m in the wrong business!
Hidden talent: I love to sing and really want to be on Team Blake on The Voice.
How social media changed my life: Social media has opened up so many doors for me and allowed me opportunities I never even dreamed of. I have met so many amazing people and traveled to so many places because of it, and most days I can’t believe this is my life!
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: One of my first shares with MODERN SALON was when I was still a student! It was a picture of a color melt I did on one of my coworkers and I was so so excited I ran around my house!
