Pro tips: I love to post before and afters, They get a lot of attention if it is a major transformation. Lighting is extremely important, I love to use natural lighting outside, and also my ring light. Asking questions in my caption helps with engagement which is great for posts. I’m always using hashtags with my area in it to attract local clients, along with trending hashtags and my favorite brands.
Hidden talent (beauty-related): I can do a full highlight within 35 minutes.
Hidden talent: I can lie in bed all day and still be tired
How social media changed my life: I started working in the beauty industry 8 years ago. It took me years to build a clientele. About two years ago, I started my business page on Instagram. Before social media, I couldn’t attract the clientele I was looking for. Don of @fiidnt taught me how to promote my business to the type of clientele that I wanted in my chair. Thanks to social media, I now have a full book with a wait list. Social media has also connected me with many artists all around the world and provides free educational tools.
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: February 2018. I was already in bed when I got the notification, and then I could not sleep for the rest of the night. I even woke up my husband to tell him! I sent the photo to all my co-workers and shared it on my Instagram page. The look was a sandy balayage, which is what I specialize in. @ModernSalon posting my picture was one of the best days in my career.
