In a world abundant with blonde specialists, Mish Jolie is a coveted find as a brunette balayage specialist. Don't get us wrong; her blondes still leave us swooning! But there's something refreshing about scrolling through Jolie's page and seeing gorgeous, chocolate hues displayed proudly for all to see. Her color melts melt our hearts, and we can't wait to see where this powerful lady goes next.

Most viral post: I posted a color correction video where I put depth back into a deep brunette who was overly blonde. The cover of the video was a REALLY harsh line of orange/yellow blonde on her dark hair which was why I think people liked it so much they wanted to see the end result. I quickly got a ton of views and it’s now at about 206,000.
Favorite apps: I love Facetune the most, it’s a really great way to make the background of your photos look bright and white, it’s also nice when you can smooth your skin before you post a selfie!
Favorite hashtags: #modernsalon of course! I also use #makeitsalty which is our salon hashtag and #brunettebalayage is always a go to.
I follow:@megahairmaniac@coloredbykp@painthatmane and my boss lady @prettylittleombre. I also love my new friend @emily_snips, she posts amazing videos and tutorials, @kristin_ess is a hair goddess, and @saripaints has that amazing edginess that I love.
Pro tips: Picture quality. Natural light is key and taking photos in front of a window is what works the best for me. Also, take a ton of photos from different angles so you have more content later on.
Hidden talent (beauty-related): Not a lot of people know that I was a makeup artist for years! I’m still known to bust out some wedding makeup for my favorite brides from time to time.
Hidden talent: I may or may not have been the lead singer in a band, now I just like to mess around with my ukulele and sing.
How social media changed my life: I feel so lucky that I’ve got to network with so many amazing artist and made so many new friends. I wouldn’t have met my tribe or have been an educator if it weren’t for social media.
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: The first time I was featured on MODERN SALON’s insta it was a short silver melt. I freaked out; I felt so blessed and grateful.
