Chita Beseau, @chitabeseau
Known for her bright, vibrant color creations and epic styling, Chita Beseau easily caught the eyes of MODERN editors (plus, we love any time she shares a snap of her tortoise, Timmy, or her Pomeranian). Beseau's free spirit and kind nature make her an ideal artist to work with, and her spunky personality can be seen from her numerous breath-taking color transformations and braided styles.

Most viral post: Most viral post was white/silver hair with baby blue roots braided back into two Dutch braids. It probably went viral because it was right at the beginning trend of silver hair and everyone was taking this photo to their stylists including me to get recreated.
Favorite apps: My favorite apps I use are Facetune and iMovie. I use Facetune to smooth out any noticeable skin imperfections and to clean up any background so that the focus of the photo is the hair. iMovie is very user friendly for videos .
Favorite hashtags: #dreamhair #pastelhair

Pro tip: Tell a story or caption what it took to make the look, or what inspired you. Share your vision and truth.
Hidden talent (beauty-related): Men's grooming, I have a big male clientele. You would never know by looking at what I post on social media.
Hidden talent: I am a great long range shooter.
How social media changed my life: Social Media has changed my life by just a hashtag ... you never know who is going to look up that hashtag and find your work. I have been booked for events with celebrities, casted in a reality TV show, become a platform artist, published in magazines and traveled the U.S because of my social media presence.
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: The first time I was featured on MODERN SALON’s Insta was a look that I had created in a photo shoot for an entry for a Bumble & Bumble contest. The look was so special to me because I had used my daughter for the model and my husband helped direct the photo shoot. When the look was posted on MODERN SALON, a fellow stylist that I look up to came up to me and congratulated me, and I didn’t know what he was talking about. I was only two years out of beauty school and had just left the assistant program at our salon and fresh on commission. I remember seeing that the photo was one that I had put my heart into and that feeling fueled my passion!
