Most viral post: A Before and After! Transformation! My followers’ favorite model/my best friend Stephanie, needed some serious hair love after I hadn’t seen her in a while. I brightened my girl up and added a little bit of a shadow root after her purple hair had totally faded. Then I brought the length of her bob up a little higher, cutting off the dead, making her hair healthier and gorgeous again!

Pro tips: The best thing to do is know your audience. Give the people what they want! If you have a hair page it’s probably not a good idea to start bombarding your followers with kissy pics of you new “bae” lol. It’s best to keep it short and sweet! I’m known for my videos, and even 1 minute is too long for some people’s attention spans.
Hidden talent (beauty-related): I also do makeup! I actually started in the industry as a freelance makeup artist. However, the art of hair runs in my blood. My paternal great grandfather was a barber and my maternal Grammy was a hairdresser (hello beehives!) At the start of my career I would show up on sets to do makeup and was asked to do hair as well and I LOVED IT, it came naturally to me. I was already cutting friends’ hair so I decided to get my license. Once I found mentors who taught me how to really cut hair... there was no going back. I love the world of makeup. I still do makeup for red carpet clients, set work, some film/TV and other various events but Hair will always be my number first love!
Hidden talent: Photography! I took photography classes in college and still get a thrill out of capturing that perfect juxtaposition! Freezing that special moment and saving a special memory. I like shooting all kinds of things but other than hair, my favorite subject: my boyfriend! He’s a piece of art to look at so photographing him his amazing! He actually posts a lot of my work to his hundreds of thousands of followers but people don’t know it’s me!
How social media changed my life: It has given me the opportunity to learn from, share with and help other artists and even everyday clients and consumers about hair! Makeup and fashion help is everywhere! But I see how hair is such struggle for so many. That struggle can really take someone down and prevent them from reaching their full potential and happiness! That is why I share so many transformations. I put most of my efforts into filtering through products and sharing my knowledge. When I come across a tip or trick I share it with my followers. This helps me to connect with new product companies as well! People reach out to me for help and advice and I try my best to be there for them! Most of all I’m grateful to Instagram for helping me to make connections with so many other amazing artists out there! Thanks to Insta, I now have hair friends on every continent!
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: It was the sickest cut I had ever done on my best friend!! She already had an undercut at her nape but was now ready to do a full head undercut! WOAH! I was buzzing I was so excited! I had been dying to do this to her! We brought that undercut all the way around and textured up her hawk! That was the look that blew up my Instagram! It was reposted 13 times by amazing accounts and it was so exciting! When I saw MODERN SALON was one of the first to repost my heart jumped out of my chest!! I have always had such a great deal of respect for MODERN SALON and I was so humbled! I love what I do and I do it with every ounce of passion, integrity and energy in me but I still sometimes don’t see myself as one of my peers/friends. I surround myself with out of the world talented and successful artists so it was really special to me to see my work on Modern Salon just like my friends. I felt proud of myself! Since then MS has posted multiple looks of mine and I am so grateful and excited each and every time! THANK YOU, MODERN SALON!
