Elizabeth Faye recently adopted the cutest little puppy; but that's not the only reason MODERN editors have quickly become obsessed with her page. Faye's work toward female empowerment is evident from the pretty, clean aesthetic a simple scroll through her posts shows; whether it's inspiring quotes, hair tutorials, processing photos or final results, we can see Faye's hard work ethic, dedication to her craft and devotion to helping others achieve their goals.

Most viral post: I actually have never had a viral post and I have grown slowly and organically, but I believe that growing your social with a strong intent and using multiple platforms to stretch your reach is key. Our education business in 2016 brought in 500,000 using a mailing list and Instagram (my following being barely over 10k) and we used Paypal link for payments. Point being- If you understand your marketing strategy and message then following is not everything

Favorite apps: I love VSCO and am started working with professional photographers to sprinkle that in a few years ago & it’s been the best money ever spent!

Favorite hashtags: Just think- who is my target audience? What am I selling? Then I use these three categories... Location, Industry and what would my consumer search

I follow: @lo_wheelerdavis @omgartistry @prettlylittleombre @theconfessionsofahairstylis

Pro tips: Lighting is key. I prefer to take my photos in natural reflected light for the best results. I like to take a shot of the back of the hair with the client’s hands lifting the hair and fanning it out. I’ll pose their hands for them so I’m sure to get the look I want. I also like to take a photo at about a 3/4 angle with the client looking down and away from me. This gives a nice look and showcases the front and side of the hair.

Hidden talent (beauty-related): I love working with a paint brush from the hardware store, sounds weird but it works amazing for me and I can apply in like 10 min. I also can twerk really good

Hidden talent: I’m really good at tap dancing.

How social media changed my life: Social media has changed my life in so many ways. It has allowed me to reach and interact with so many amazing people that I would have never had the chance to meet without it. I love that it allows me to connect with so many other stylists and allows us to collaborate, share and work together on projects and our own work.

The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: I have been featured just a few times but it’s always a great feeling as a stylist to get your work recognized.
