Favorite hashtags: I like to use hashtags that have my location in them (#winnipeghair, #winnipeghairstylist, etc), as well as other hair pages that will repost work (#imallaboutdahair #mastersofbalayage #stylistssupportingstylists #hotonbeauty, etc).
Who I’m following: I like to follow hair accounts that inspire me. I will often follow hair accounts such as Modern Salon that repost other stylists’ work. If I see something reposted that I really like I will check out and follow those accounts as well. I do keep my followings on my hair account to mostly other hair related accounts.
Tip to get best results on a post: Use relevant hashtags, and tag 20 other hair accounts in your post; Choose a clear quality picture, even if you have to post the same head of hair from different angles because the lighting in that picture was better than another one, quality is always better than quantity; Time of day (Use Instagram insights to see when most of your followers are active).

Favorite professional beauty products: I absolutely love all of the Living Proof line. I especially like the Root Lift for giving volume at the root, the 5 in 1 treatment for its smoothing and conditioning capabilities, as well as the added volume. My all-time favorite would definitely have to be the Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo—because what would we do without dry shampoo?
How social media changed your life: I graduated hair school a little over a year ago and found my dream job right out of school. As a new hairstylist my biggest fear was not being able to build up a clientele right away. After six months of assisting, I quickly made my way onto the salon floor with a fully booked clientele thanks to Instagram. I would not be where I am today without the use of social media.
The first time I was featured on MODERN SALON was….: in October. I was ecstatic! It’s such an amazing feeling being acknowledged alongside so many other talented and inspiring stylists.
