She once told MODERN "My passion is hair painting and color correction and I have a deep love for redheads of any shade." There are more than 1200 posts on her Instagram page - with just about all celebrating color and application.

Most viral post: My rose gold crown braid, a collaboration with @michellehair. The color complemented the braid and the braid showed off the color. It was featured and reposted more times than I could keep track.
Favorite apps: VSCO is an all-around good editing app for photos. It’s user friendly and can pretty much do everything I need for editing in one place. Facetune seems to be everyone’s favorite app! I use this to polish my photos. I can remove a random distracting portion of the background, make my client look camera ready and reshape unruly clothing. Plann is the app I use to organize my posts. It helps me plan out the order of my posts so they look cohesive and I can even pre-write my captions and hashtags.

Pro tips: Take time to capture quality content. Beautiful Instagram photos rarely happen by accident. If I have someone coming in that I know has hair that photographs well, I set aside extra time to really focus on getting that perfect shot. My favorite lighting is outdoor/natural, however I do have several soft boxes in my salon in case I want to take photos after the sun has gone down. Engage (authentically) more than you post. Support your friends, your mentors and people who support you and they will return the favor.
Hidden talent: I’ve been a photographer since high school and I even used to shoot film and develop my photos in a dark room.
How social media changed my life: I spent years dreaming of doing photo shoots and being on the main stage at events and it wasn’t until I started putting myself out into the world and showcasing what I can do as an artist that I started getting booked for what I specialize in. Social media was the catalyst to get my work out in front of the world. We are our own worst critic, so having a living portfolio on Instagram constantly pushed me to be better.
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta:. I was out to dinner with my husband and all of the sudden my phone started blowing up with notifications. I opened Instagram to discover that I had been featured and I was blown away. I still remember the post. It was a collage of four of my photos and the caption said “Constance Robbins is a must follow.” I was so honored since Modern Salon is known to be incredibly prestigious. I think I got 300 followers in that first hour alone!
