Most viral post: I had a post I did of me mixing the undone wave and a unique wave I do that creates an undone look. I think it did well because it’s fairly easy to do at home and translates in the salon.
Favorite apps: I’m super thankful for my Canon apa which allows me to transfer my photos as they’re taken. I don’t use many apps now days, I try my best to get the lighting right on the camera so it eliminates all that for me. Planoly is kinda cool, helps you plan your feed and posts.
FaceTune also can be helpful, it’ll help white drab backgrounds.

Pro tips: I think hashtags can be helpful, but truthfully for me it’s lighting. Composition can be thrown for a loop even if the hair is fine.
Hidden talent (beauty-related): I can wave someone’s head in under five minutes.
Hidden talent: I played college baseball and was a pitcher and before that I was taking apart cars and putting them back together.
How social media changed my life: I grew up with my Mother being a hairstylist and from a young age, we used to rely mainly on passing out cards. I feel like social media almost eliminated that entirely and killed any skepticism from clients. There are no more blind dates, essentially.
The first time I was featured on MODERN’s Insta: I don’t remember the photo exactly but I remember I was still an assistant and it felt like a, ‘Mom, I made it’ kinda moment. It was such a new experience for me, so I just remember feeling joy that people could enjoy what I had been working on.
