Featuring America’s Next Top Model (from Season 5) Bre Scullark, The Desert Collection by Hairstylist Ryan Burrell was shot in a remote desert location (Rosamond, CA) right outside Los Angeles. According to Burrell, his inspiration behind this sultry look was Anja Rubik as "Desert Queen" in Vogue Germany. "I fell in love with the shape and movement of the hair," he says.
To create the look, Burrell created a smooth cut using clippers and movement from a razor. "Combining the two gave the hair texture that creates a style in itself." To finish the look, he used Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and Impermable Anti-Humidity Spray.
Burrell says he's most proud of the bond of friendship he gained with his teamates when creating this collection. He adds (quoting Joan Crawford) "I think the most important thing a woman can have next to talent, of course is her hairdresser."
