It was a big night for Dimitrios Tsioumas, Goldwell Artistic Director and Mizu Editorial Director and Master Colorist. Not only did the NAHA 2012 award for Contemporary Classic go to Dimitrios, but he also grabbed the big award of the night: Hairstylist of the Year.
"It took a lot of hard work, dedication and planning," he told me after receiving the second award. "I've entered many times and am thrilled with winning both...but especially Hairstylist of the Year."
Dimitrios has entered this category for several of the past several years and feels that even the exercise of creating the finishes has made him a better stylist. "What I've learned is to shoot for myself," he says. "This is just so wonderful that the work that pleases me has also pleased the judges."
And why not? Dimitrios's work, as always, is flawless. But equally important is his attitude. He is humble and grateful for this honor...and truly deserving.
