Frank Rizzieri shares the inspiration for his NAHA entry.

It's been many years since Frank Rizzieri entered The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), but 2013 brought new inspiration and a new reason to pick up a brush for the competition. "I just love the Kate Moss book," he says. "The images are so inspiring on so many levels, especially beauty. It gave me a reason to put together a photo session."
Rizzieri, a celebrity stylist, editorial stylist, salon owner, school owner and co-founder of RSession Tools, is no stranger to the studio. His work has been seen on the covers of magazines, in editorial spreads, in advertisements and on catwalks at Fashion Week. His work has inspired both professionals and consumers around the world.
The Rizzieri images are breathtaking and made the finals in the Master Stylist category. "The pictures in the book are by the best image makers in the industry." he says. "It is by far one of the most important books in the beauty and fashion industry. Every hairdresser...everyone in the beauty and fashion world, should own this book and use it as a reference and guide."
Once he decided on WHAT he was going to do, Rizzieri got busy casting. Although allowed to use several models, he chose just one girl (model Anastasia Nashukova) and created five fashion statements through wigs. "I've learned that it's better to have just one model with the right energy, look and attitude than it is to have several models. The chemistry on the set is so important to the finished look."
Rizzieri confirms that you must be organized and have an idea, but be prepared that things may change once on set. His advice: If you start off with one idea and you aren't flexible, it may not work out. Learn to do what you love and keep it simple."
