That Soul Cycling Virgo – who has been on the hair team for Project Runway for the past 6 years (earning the lead this past season!) – is Jennifer MacDougall@JenniferMacDougall, L’Oreal Professionnel Artist, celebrity hairdresser and academy educator.

Born in Nova Scotia, and then raised in Newfoundland, Canada, MacDougall relocated to New York City just a few years ago with four suitcases – two of which were filled with makeup and hair supplies.

Although she has earned many accolades in her 20+ years as a professional, MacDougall is most proud of the fact that she won two NAHA’s before she was 25-years-old. She is also proud of her dog Bentley (@BentleyPom) who has his own agent and has starred in commercials and print ads.

MOST PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED THAT: Growing up we had an airplane and would fly all over Newfoundland. It was a float plane so we would often land in lakes and go swimming and fishing for the day. 

MY GUILTY PLEASURE: Champagne and Truffle Fries.

THE BEST PART OF MY JOB IS: Traveling the world and the relationships we build along the way.

FOR INSPIRATION I: people watch, especially in LES (Lower East Side) and the West Village, New York. 

MY FAVORITE ERA OF HAIR AND BEAUTY: The '80s as both men and women expressed their style through their hair in a very loud way.

BEST PIECE OF ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Surround yourself with people who inspire you and support you.

MY CAUSES: Look Good, Feel Better Volunteer for Women with Cancer.

I RELAX BY: Curling up on the couch with my Pomeranian, Bentley and watching a movie.
