Prime Prometics, a global leader in pro-age beauty, today announced a strategic partnership with HairToStay, the first and only national nonprofit dedicated to helping cancer patients afford scalp cooling treatments to reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss.
By joining forces, Prime Prometics and HairToStay aim to strengthen support for individuals undergoing cancer treatment by increasing awareness and expanding access to resources that help patients preserve their hair — an outcome proven to have a meaningful impact on emotional well-being and quality of life.
To translate this shared goal into tangible action, Prime Prometics will fund scalp-cooling treatments for 4 patients aged 50 or older each month, a key demographic shared by both Prime Prometics and HairToStay. In addition, Prime Prometics will contribute through targeted awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, and product donations for patients.
Hair loss is one of the most visible, dreaded, and emotionally challenging side effects of chemotherapy. Scalp cooling technology has been clinically proven to help many patients retain their hair, yet access and affordability remain significant barriers in the U.S. By aligning with HairToStay, Prime Prometics reinforces its commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care beyond cosmetic outcome while continuing to empower all women — particularly those over 50 — to embrace their natural beauty and redefine aging on their own terms.
“My father and brother are both oncologists, and I’ve witnessed the battle with cancer from the sidelines since early childhood. Thanks to our customers, I’ve read countless testimonials about how our products help cancer patients cope with their new realities. I’ve also seen how important it is for patients to retain a sense of normalcy and dignity during treatment — and for many, preserving their hair through scalp cooling can make a profound difference in emotional well-being. This is why our team is fully committed to supporting women worldwide. Our mission is to continue creating products that help women feel like themselves and embrace their beauty, even during the most challenging times,” said Kaspars Eglitis, Founder and CEO of Prime Prometics.
HairToStay provides financial assistance, education, and advocacy to patients seeking scalp cooling during chemotherapy. Since its founding ten years ago, the organization has helped more than 8,000 patients access this life-changing option. What patients have said:
“Scalp cooling has given me a sense of normalcy when I felt stripped of all control over my body and my health. After multiple surgeries that changed my physical appearance and left me feeling like my feminine features (breast cancer) were being taken away, scalp cooling helped me still feel like a lady.”
“Scalp cooling was a game-changer for me during treatment. HairToStay was a wonderful resource, I would not have had the option without them.”
“Although scalp cooling sounded like a great option, the cost of the program made me hesitate. I was then directed to your organization for support. THANK YOU!!! Because of your generous subsidy, I was able to move forward with my treatment utilizing the cold cap.”
“Collaborations like this are essential to expanding awareness and access to scalp cooling. We have been so thrilled to partner with leading haircare and beauty companies who truly understand the profound nature of keeping one’s hair and sense of self during cancer treatment,” said Bethany Hornthal, Co-Founder and Executive Director of HairToStay. “Prime Prometics shares our belief that patients deserve choices and support when facing cancer treatment.”
