OPI was used on nails for the Herve Leger by Max Azria 2012 autumn/winter show at Lincoln Center on Saturday. Passion was painted on models’ nails for a clean, barely-there nude look that complimented the show’s black and neutral-colored dresses with leather strap detailing.

Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a style fit for the classic Alexander Wang girl at the designer’s Fall/Winter 2012 show on Saturday-it was a simple downtown look that bordered on tomboyish. The hair was inspired by kind of girl everyone wants to be, a perfect match for Wang’s chic, modern, must-have sportswear.

The hair look at the Autumn/Winter ’12 Peter Som show in New York represented a new direction for a new season with contrast playing a key role. Texture on the Runway at New York Fashion Week
TextureMedia really hit it out of the park with Fashion on the Runway—the only hair-focused event centered around New York's Fashion Week. Five hair care sponsors headlined the runway—debuting looks that truly celebrated texture.
FASHION WEEK: Hair Rules at Texture on the Runway
Hair Rules put together a fabulous creative team to wow the crowd: Dickey, co-founder and creator; Brock Graham and Jasmine Green, assistants; Dailey Green, stylist; Katiria Martin, stylist and colorist; and Nzingha for ZFaceInc, NYC, make-up.

The Curls Unleashed creative team was full of energy up on stage: Reginald Mitchell, director of education; Zac Britt, senior educator; Willie Malone, senior educator; got the crowd dancing and cheering on as texture took over the runway.

The Venexiana show was absolutely FANTASTIC. Seventy looks were debuted this evening during New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, SEVENTY! In a show that had music pumping from Ben Brunnemer, make-up by Lisa Aharon for Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, and hair by Jeffrey Reitz for Tela Design Studio by Philip Pelusi, attendees were in for a REAL treat.

FASHION WEEK: Backstage at Mara Hoffman with TIGI's Nick Irwin
Today began bright and early with behind the scenes at Mara Hoffman, where we got the opportunity to interview Nick Irwin, lead hair for TIGI. Irwin reveals his inspirations for the hair were drawn from South American cowboy culture, "it's very windswept, sort of cowboys in the desert," he says.
