NAHA 2010 Finalists Announced!

The Professional Beauty Association, organizers of the North American Hairstyling Awards, has announced this year’s finalists for the prestigious, photo-based NAHA competition. Vying for the title of North American Hairstylist of the Year are Steve Elias, Shirley Gordon, Shawna Parvin, Tony Ricci and Atoine Vadacchino. Finalists in nine other NAHA categories were also announced, with Makeup and Salon MBA categories still to come.

There are 27 different types of naturally occurring collagen in the body. As the hair is part of our body, the loss of collagen is mostly a factor of aging. Once we pass our late 20's our bodies have less collagen. Hair exposed to the natural elements as well as chemical treatments like coloring, bleaching and straightening always could use something to bring it back to life. OMG! You guys!! I got hair extensions!!! AHH!!! OK. I know what you're thinking. "Alison, you have long hair—why on Earth do you need hair extensions?!"
