“Highlighting in the warmer months is a fun way to accentuate a sun-kissed summer glow and enhance a natural contour,” says Sacha Selhi, director of global artistry, sales and education at Vincent Longo cosmetics. Strobing is the same concept as highlighting; the difference is strobing is not used in conjunction with contouring, whereas highlighting is.
Whether contouring/highlighting or strobing, shiny or pearlescent cosmetics known as highlighters or luminizers are applied to highlight high points of the face.
