Top educators and brands gathered together at Cosmoprof’s inaugural Best of the Best, a new brand of styling education at Casa Real at the Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, California. Approximately 400 hairstylists, salon owners and managers came together for the day-long educational experience. Guests enjoyed light refreshments, a full lunch and sessions from top platform artists from Aquage, Joico, Schwarzkopf and JPMS, as well as a two-hour Mix & Mingle party for professionals to network with one another.
“We usually do single or multi-manufacturer events on stages at venues, but they weren’t reaching our customers the way we wanted. This year, we decided to take a different approach, so we created the Best of the Best event as a branding exercise,” says Lindsay Quaglia, CosmoProf National Education Manager. “We wanted to make this event special—and give it a different atmosphere. The location and menu were great, guests could sit out in the courtyard and network or watch top educators perform.”
FEATURED ARTISTS:
· Aquage artists Luis Alvarez and Nogodar Martinez took attendees on a journey of innovation and inspiration, as they shared creative interpretations of how the hottest haircutting and long hairstyling trends translate from the runway to the salon.
· Joico’s Cherry Petenbrink and David Scott showed an array of different techniques for upstyling hair, color placement and men’s grooming. This duo left the audience with a renewed zest for the craft and the educational tools to elevate their services from ordinary to extraordinary.
· Candy Dandy, White Hot and METALLXX, Schwarzkopf’s Rossa Jurenas brought inspiration from international catwalks in her transformative presentation.
· Paul Mitchell’s Jason Reyes and Rosie Matos got hands on with the latest trends in cutting, color and style. Plus, they showed off their newest collection, Origami.
The day-long event featured a raffle with donated gift baskets from Cosmoprof brands and an opportunity for guests to meet and greet educators. “It was a great experience for our customers and the vendors of Cosmoprof,” says Quaglia. “Guests enjoyed networking along with experiencing top talent and show education. We plan on doing more events like these in the near future!”
