The Boston Red Sox built their team spirit this season when all the players decided to grow beards, signaling their opponents to “fear the beard.”
Andis supplied the team with SlimLine 2 Trimmers to keep the beards well groomed, and when the Red Sox won the World Series, it was time for the beards to go. Celebrity barber Angel Lucas did the honors with his cordless Andis clipper as he removed pitcher Clay Buchholz’s beard.
“Since Clay’s beard was long, I used the cordless Supra 120 Ion clipper to take the length down before using the SlimLine2 trimmer to clean it up,” says Lucas, a mobile barber who goes where his clients need him. “For the Series, I carried a few extra batteries with me.
