In celebration of Scruples' Power Blonde Balayage Clay Lightener, the brand ran its Power Your Blonde contest on Instagram. About 100 artists entered the Instagram photo contest by posting a before photo followed by their best balayage creation using Scruples Power Blonde Balayage Clay Lightener.

A panel of three judges chose the winners, Grand Prize, Second Place and Third Place. Judges included Mia Liguori, Scruples co-president creative; Alix Clymer, founder of The Unicorn Tribe; and MODERN SALON's own Jamie Newman, associate editor. Winning entries were chosen based on creativity, description of the formula/technique and overall production quality of the final look.
