Aveda announced the appointment of Martin Kaufmann as general manager for North America. Kaufmann will direct Aveda’s growth in North America and oversee the development of Aveda retail, the Aveda Institutes, North American salon and spa sales and education, new business development and the North American marketing teams.
Kaufmann has more than 17 years of experience with major manufacturers in both the professional and consumer beauty industries serving in domestic and international markets.
“Martin’s leadership and industry expertise will further fuel Aveda’s momentum in the brand’s home market of North America,” says Aveda President Dominique Conseil. “He also comes to us with a strong passion for the brand’s mission.”
In addition to his business expertise, Kaufmann is a commited environmentalist and philanthropist and serves as advisor to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, a non-profit organization that supports efforts in conservation and sustainability.
