This month Aveda is re-launching its Uruku make-up collection that celebrates the indigenous Yawanawa people of Brazil. The lip, eye and face colors are formulated with annatto pigment from the seeds of the urukum shrub. The rich, red shade gives the Uruku collection its distinctive properties of creamy, lightweight formulas with luxurious color. The urukum shrub is grown for Aveda by the Yawanawa tribe in a unique partnership with the company.
