Joico Celebrity Stylist George Papanikolas' high profile clients, like Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus, clamor for his beach-inspired color-it's casual, sun-kissed and natural looking. Now he's drawing more inspiration from the sand and turf-this time from the motion of the ocean. "I want to offer my clients loose, waved textures that will complement my color designs," he says.

Papanikolas' invited ISO Artistic Creative Team Member Dilek Onur-Taylor to conduct a class at Andy LeCompte Salon in West Hollywood. Onur-Taylor showed her students how to gather the hair into several ponytails and then wrap each pony on sponge rollers. This produced a natural looking configuration that was relaxed at the top of the head and gradually formed a loose wave along the midshafts and ends. To finish the look, the stylists combined Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil and Design Collection Texture Spray to produce frizz-free, unstructured waves. Papanikolas says, "Now we are experimenting with various roller sizes to fine tune the look so we can offer our clients young and modern looking texture-the buzz is building!"
