Members of the Los Angeles beauty industry are coming together once again to provide resources, services, and products for Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Los Compadres-sponsored patient quinceañera.

Each year, CHLA and Los Compadres, the hospital's charity, holds a quinceañera for a deserving patient who is nominated by social workers. This year, the hospital will be honoring two girls, 15-year-old Edna Segura and 14-year-old Kailey Farias, thanks to thanks to a bride who cancelled her wedding and donated all of it to the hospital.

Segura has a rare form of brain cancer. An inoperable tumor is causing her to go blind and she is currently in the process of learning to read braille. Segura lives with her 18-year-old sister and mother, who is also going blind due to diabetes.

Farias suffers from a rare blood condition that requires weekly transfusions. She has been coming to CHLA to receive transfusions since she was 3 years old.

Both girls are excited to be transformed into princesses for their quinceañera — the Latin American celebration of a girl's 15th birthday, which marks the transition from childhood to adulthood.

Polished Girlz, led by 17-year-old Alanna Wall, will be creating nail art the girls and their mothers with Orly nail polish. Both companies have previously worked with CHLA for other events.

Taylor Boren, educator for Dream Catchers, will use hot tools from Sutra Beauty and Dream Catcher extensions to style the girls' hair.

Morphe will be providing makeup for the events, and is sending its manager for its Burbank retail location, Delsy Lopez, to create the looks the girls envision.

The quinceañera will be held Oct. 27 at the White House Event Center located at 1238 Beach Blvd. in Anaheim.

Community members can sponsor the event by purchasing individual tickets or tables.
