The mission of Musical Theatre Orange County, a non-profit organization founded a decade ago by Mitch and Lori Atkins, is to mentor youth and bring the joy of live theatre to diverse audiences. HAIRSPRAY—The Musical is the 10th anniversary production for the company.
Atkins adds, “Of course, the classic 60’s musical HAIR treats hair symbolically, too. But there’s something about a big, bouncy, back-combed flip that really brings out the show-biz spirit of beauty-makers everywhere.
