The second annual ABS Beauty BASH, which will be held on the Runway at America's Beauty show March 9, 2013 from 6-9 pm, celebrates the amazing talent of beauty professionals—whether behind the chair or on stage showing off talents ranging from ballet to Broadway to classical cello.
The new ABS Beauty Talent Showcase element of the BeautyBASH party will feature seven multi-talented salon professionals who will demonstrate their singing, dancing and musical talents. The concept of the Talent Showcase came from Cosmetologists Chicago whose members know that many salon professionals have performance talents in addition to their professional beauty skills. Cosmetologists Chicago owns and produces America’s Beauty Show and the association determined that the best place to feature talented salon pros was on the Runway stage at ABS.

Here are the names of the talented professionals selected to perform on stage during the BeautyBASH. Each submitted a video via YouTube for the performance judges.

• Katherine Lanave, Howell, MI, ballet dancer
• Kim Shriver, Cary, IL, Broadway-style singer
• Marie Therese Messuck, Itasca, IL, pop singer
• Krystal Gardner, Muskegan, MI, singer & guitarist
• Nicole Sellers, Naperville, IL, singer
The ABS BeautyBash will also feature an awards ceremony recognizing the winners of Cosmetologists Chicago's Stars and Rising Stars photo contests for professionals and students, and the recipient of the Leo Passage Gold Trophy.
The BASH will also include a salute to the late stylist and showman Xenon with a retrospective of his 30 years of artistic talent presented by Yolly ten Koppel of Pivot Point.
All proceeds from ABS BeautyBASH benefit the CC Presidents Scholarship Fund that annually awards cash scholarships for advanced education.
BeautyBASH tickets are available at America’s Beauty Show http://www.americasbeautyshow.com/AMERICASBEAUTYSHOW/EVENTS/BeautyBASH/tabid/371/Default.aspx or on-site at the show. The $85 ticket includes the performances, two drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
