Blo Blow Dry Bar and Body by Blo’s franchise partner Cynthia Keenan recently held a special pamper day that included a “Pink” carpet, pink balloons, special treats as well as free services for the young patients of the Children’s Cancer Center of Tampa. Cynthia coordinated this special day with the Wine, Women & Shoes Organization a national fund raising group devoted to raising money for various charities across the US that also includes the Children’s Cancer Center of Tampa. Blo Tampa opened their doors along with seven of Cynthia’s staff to help provide a special day for the girls and their moms that included blow outs, manicures and pedicures.
During their visit, The Children’s Cancer Center Chief Operating Officer, Patricia O’Leary arranged for the day to be videotaped in order to create a long lasting memory. To view the video: https://vimeo.com/112287957
Cynthia has supported the Children’s Cancer Center for many years helping to raise donations and creating awareness of the center. “Blo Tampa was honored to be selected and provide these young patients the opportunity to forget about cancer," says Keenan. "One of the most precious moments that will stay with me always is when one of the girls told me she would like to work here while she was looking through our hair menu so she could decide how she wants her hair to be when she’s done with treatment. She is the youngest of four children, a 'late in life' baby and clearly the apple of her mother’s eye.”
Afterwards, Kennan arranged for the Kona Grill to treat the girls and their moms to dinner.
