At a special VIP reception at the Premiere Orlando International Beauty Event, Buzz Salon, owned by Jodi Connolly, was named the 2015 Salon of the Year. George Eganhouse, a senior stylist, accepted the award on Connolly's behalf from Stacey Soble, editor in chief of Salon Today.
Located next to a pedestrian mall in downtown Iowa City, Iowa, the two-story salon in encased in double-paned glass windows, giving clients a unique perspective from the mezzanine levels where the styling stations are located. Connolly describes the client experience as visiting an urban treehouse. The first floor is dedicated to a luxury boutique retail environment. Learn more about the salon and see all of the images.

At the Premiere event, Salon 416 in Fenton, Michigan was named as the 1st Runner Up in the Salons of the Year competition; Aria Blanc from Syosset, New York, captured the 2nd Runner Up; and New Reflections Salon in Minnetonka, Minnesota took 3rd Runner Up. Sixteen other salons were named as Salons of Distinction in the competition.
