Charmain Smith of Red Deer, Alberta Canada was crowned winner of Fashion Frenzy, the student competition sponsored by CosmoProf Beauty. The results were announced at the Intercoiffure 2012 Spring Symposium in Miami last night. Second Place went to Cherise McFarland and third place was won by Jennifer Vasquez.
Charmain was one of 6 finalists to participate at the event which included stage presentations by top salons from around the country and mentorship meetings with John Moroney of Goldwell, Fabio Sementilli of P&G Professionals and Luis Alvarez of Aquage. The finalists were introduced on stage to the hundreds of Intercoiffure members in attendance.
I followed the finalists on their quest and was thrilled to see how Luis offered moral support and guidance, and supervised the finalists exclusive photoshoot with industry photographer Babak. The shoot took place on site at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami.
