The new lamp does not use traditional UV or LED light in the curing process. Instead, CND says its Visible Light Technology provides a gentle curing process designed for service longevity, proper adhesion, toughness, and wearability across CND light-cured systems.

The relaunch also includes nearly 140 SHELLAC shades, including six retro-inspired colors and the return of 10 pro-favorite shades. The system includes two base coats and four top coats.

According to CND, the updated system continues to offer 21-day wear, a fade-resistant finish, and no nail damage when used with SHELLAC Epic Smoothing Base. The brand also notes that the system supports natural nail integrity and includes ultra-fast GLIDE-OFF REMOVAL when used with Epic Smoothing Base.
“As a salon owner, I hear every day what professionals and clients are looking for and it’s performance without compromise,” said Lynn Cote, CND Global Education Manager and Salon Owner. “With the relaunch of SHELLAC, CND brings those needs to life, combining our history of innovation with real feedback from behind the chair.”
The cordless, rechargeable lamp includes a removable baseplate for pedicures, an ergonomic and stackable design, and an optional red light feature intended to add a spa-like element to the service experience.
CND is also updating its SHELLAC packaging with a larger 0.42-ounce bottle, which the brand says offers 68% more product than the existing 0.25-ounce SHELLAC bottle. The packaging also includes front-facing shade labeling.
