CND announced at 2014 Premiere Orlando the launch of its new online learning platform for licensed professionals, CND U.
"Some of the pros sthat are the most die-hard live in rural areas and can't get to a CND class," said Jan Arnold, CND co-founder and style director. "In today's digital world, CND U is the natural next step in our support of the professional nail community in order to ultimately elevate the consumer experience in the salon."
With this in mind, CND U will be available to licensed professionals only in order to continue their education and for future professionals in CND partner schools. CND U will have a full curriculum based on the education techniques and principles of CND. Currently, the classes are only available in the U.S. (for shipping class tools) and English.
Important dates:
June 2014 - early admission for CND U
September 2014 - CND U classes begin
November 2014 - CND U partner school programs will launch
2015 - Aim for CND U in Vietnamese
2016 - Aim for CND U to be global and multi-lingual
Roxanne Valinoti, education manager for CND, will serve as the dean of CND U, which will be accessible on desktop/laptop computers, smartphones and tablets. The program is designed for interactive, self-paced learning that is accessible across the country with an Internet connection.
There are multiple paths and courses that professionals can explore in CND U, from trend classes to color theory. Each professional has a personal dashboard when they log in to the program, and it tracks their progress and what classes they've taken.
Bellus Academy will partner with CND as the exclusive product provider for CND U professional courses in the U.S. and will donate a portion of their profits to the Beauty Changes Lives (BCL) Foundation. BCL is a non-profit organization created by the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) to build awareness of career opportunities available in the beauty and wellness industry and award scholarships to individuals pursuing careers in the category.
