The highlights of Backstage include The Show, The Hands-On Workshop and The Owner’s exchange. The Show is a little Broadway and a little Vegas revue mixed with Miami Latin flair, as hair takes center stage at the historic Jackie Gleason Theater. With a team of stylists, Oribe will transform model after model, achieving gorgeous, sexy hair. Organizers also promise that the night will feature special appearances from some of the biggest names in the Miami music scene as the show transforms itself into an all-out party.

The following day at the Miami Beach Convention Center, stylists—with the help of Oribe and his education team--will learn in-depth styling techniques, gain exposure to backstage practices and craft countless looks on models at the Hands-On Workshop. At the Owner’s Exchange, salon owners and managers will gain insight into the minds and practices of innovators in salons, luxury markets, technology and retail.
The One: An Ultimate Mentoring Opportunity
How would you like to follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Paul, Brad Johns, Ken Paves and Rita Hazan? Stylists at Backstage Miami 2013 will have the chance to be the next in the long and prestigious line of hairdressers who’ve been mentored by Oribe. By the end of the event’s Hands-On Workshop, Oribe will choose one stylist to engage in a six-month mentorship with him. Via weekly phone calls and several in-person meetings, Oribe will tutor “The One,” discussing references, movies, trends, red carpet looks, on-set and backstage wisdom and more. In addition to these tutoring sessions, “The One” will work side-by-side with Oribe on a photo shoot, spend time assisting Oribe in his Miami salon and be invited to attend Oribe Hair Care education events during the mentorship. The chosen mentee also will be featured on oribe.com and oribe.pro and in trade magazines. Visit oribe.com/lafama for more information, or please contact Lori Morris at lorim@oribe.com.
