Danny McClure (@dannnycuts) of Ian McCabe Studio, Washington DC, says "This client came in today and her hair was a mess - fried and dyed to the heavens. I talked her into losing the length and starting over so her hair would start the journey back to healthy.  The cut made the color look a lot better than when she came in."

McClure, a stylist, also created a little color magic to help her on the road to recovery.

CUT:

"I sectioned off the top horse shoe section and then did scissor over comb undercut. I wanted to keep it very natural and modern with her growth patterns. On the top I did a version of square layers and then just visually detailed the cut. For styling I used Bumble and Bumble Repair and Invisible Hairdressers Oil and finished it off with Contouring Creme."

COLOR:  

"I used the Davines Purple Conditioner and left it on for 5 minutes."

FOLLOW UP:

"She is coming back for color service - double process - but not for several weeks because we are so booked. However, taking dry ends and length off and treating it with Davines Purple Conditioner did the trick and it will help out until she comes is for color portion of the service."
