Dell, Microsoft and MasterCard have teamed up and announced a 13-week contest in search of “America’s Favorite Small Business.” Could it be your salon or beauty business?
Dell is currently featuring a video (seen below or here) of OPI's Executive Vice President and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann to offer inspiration to small businesses in the beauty industry to enter the contest. Weiss-Fischmann details the journey OPI took from small business to global brand.

Small businesses from any industry are invited to submit a three-minute video explaining why they should be America’s favorite small business and upload it to Dell’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/dellbusiness).
The video with the most votes will win $25,000 in Dell products specifically geared towards small business (including PC’s loaded with Windows 7 Professional Edition and Office 2010 Home and Business) and a $50,000 prepaid MasterCard to use towards expenses and supplies. In addition to the $75,000 prize package, the winning business will receive its own web reality show through Dell’s YouTube channel. The other nine of the 10 finalists will receive a $1,000 Dell gift card.
The contest will unfold in five phases:
-Phase 1: Aug. 15-Sept. 11 - Businesses with 25 or fewer employees can submit their videos and upload them to www.youtube.com/dellbusiness.
- Phase 2: Sept. 12-Sept. 18 - A panel of Dell, MasterCard and Microsoft judges will decide the ten best submissions.

- Phase 3: Sept. 19-Oct. 26 – America can vote for their favorite videos on Dell’s YouTube channel.
- Phase 4: Oct. 27- The winner is announced.
- Phase 5: Oct. 27-Nov. 13 - The winning company will appear in its web reality show about their business.
