Denmanannounces the six finalists who will compete for the opportunity to be crowned Stage Star 2017 and win the trip of a lifetime to represent Denman live on stage at the International Beauty Show (IBS) New York 2018.
The judges had a tough time in whittling down a large number of high-quality entries from all over the UK and Ireland to a short list of six up-and-coming platform artists.
Out of all the entrants, these six selected finalists showed the combination of creative flair, knowledge, confidence and self-promotion that are needed by a successful international stage artist. But now comes the real test, the HJ Live stage at Salon International! To win Denman Stage Star 2017 the finalists will need to show that they can deliver these attributes live on stage.
From 12:30pm on Monday 16th October on the HJ main stage, this year’s finalists will have 25 minutes to educate, inspire and engage with an audience of hair professionals and an experienced panel of judges including Andrew Barton, Darren Ambrose, Andrew Collinge, Paul Stafford and Errol Douglas – all of whom have a wealth of experience and knowledge as platform hair artists.
Last year’s winner Evangeline Barrett who will give an insight into her amazing year as the Denman Stage Star winner and show some of the skills that saw her chosen as the 2016 winner.
Only one of these finalists can be invited to join Denman on an all-expenses paid trip to work on its stage at the International Beauty Show (IBS) in New York in March 2018. After their presentations, the judges will have 10 minutes to decide the winner who will be announced live on stage before being whisked off to the press office for their first official engagement as winner.
As well as an amazing trip to New York, the winner will receive an opportunity to attend the HJ British Hairdressing Awards as part of the Denman team, take part in a number of creative photoshoots and much, much more.
