Dermalogica announces the re-launch of three new and improved professional-use additives which allow the skin care therapist to customize and enhance professional treatments. In tandem with the product re-launch, Dermalogica will be offering a new half-day class, “Targeted Neck and Shoulder Touch Therapy” to begin in April.
Each concentrated, upgraded formulation now includes a new therapeutic oil with specific skin benefits. Combined with select essential oil blends, these products may be lightly pressed (4 – 6 drops) onto the skin as part of the Dermalogica Pressure Point Massage, or applied to the skin prior to Massage Cream for a European-style massage. These intense botanical formulas add a new dimension to the skin therapist’s repertoire, allowing for specific personalization of every treatment based upon the individual needs of each client.
The three essential oil-based formulas, Clearing Additive, Revitalizing Additive and Soothing Additive, will be available March 2015. Size: 1.0 oz. /Professional price $30 per bottle.
NEW DERMALOGICA PROFESSIONAL ADDITIVES:
Clearing Additive – This purifying additive draws on Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) Seed Oil to tighten pores and diminish formation of blackheads, plus the pure essential oils of Ylang Ylang, Rosewood and Lemongrass. Detoxifying and anti-inflammatory, it controls breakouts, excess sebum production, and aids healing, helping to balance dehydrated, acneic skin. This antibacterial additive makes skin more pliable, making swift painless extractions easier.
Revitalizing Additive - This energizing additive is made with Camellia Japonica (Rose of Winter) Seed Oil which is rich in essential fatty acids to help boost collagen synthesis, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and boost skin’s moisture content, along with the pure essential oils of Sandalwood, Neroli and Lavender. It promotes circulation and gently stimulates skin tissues to alleviate dryness. This additive deeply nourishes dry, dehydrated skin and is ideal for mature, post-menopausal clients.
Soothing Additive – This calming additive contains Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil to reinforce the barrier lipid layer, hydrate, moisturize and sooth the skin, plus the pure essential oils of Lavender, Eucalyptus and Cypress. It reduces redness, relieves skin sensitivity, skin stress and sinus tension, including irritation from hay fever and other allergies, asthma, smoking and pollution. May be applied to gauze or cotton compresses for sensitive or Rosacea-type skin conditions.
In addition to the Additives, the newly introduced Dermalogica “Targeted Neck and Shoulder Touch Therapy” class will give therapists additional hands-on skills to relieve the stress which clients often carry in the upper body. The new Touch Therapy is designed to utilize Dermalogica Aromatherapy Additives, Botanical Mixers and Massage Mediums. This exclusive technique can reduce headaches, promote flexibility, lengthen muscles, and improve posture and breathing as part of overall stress reduction.
This class is offered to all Dermalogica accounts free of charge. To enroll to this complimentary class, please visit http://education.dermalogica.com. For more information on how to become a Dermalogica account, call (800) 831-5150 or email sales.corporate@dermalogica.com.
