The company is partnering with designer Adele Wechsler and her Eco Couture wedding designs to host regional bridal events that are full of tips on being gorgeous and green at the same time.
The Eco-wedding events will be held during April, May and June at participating Aveda salons around the country. Guests will preview new Adele Wechsler Eco-Couture gowns, which are designed from certified organic hemp, vegetable dyed silk, and remnant fabrics and lace. All gowns are produced in Canada with fair trade labor. A click on adelewechsler.com proves that the gowns are also lovely and modernist with simple, organic design elements and beautiful hand-cut detailing.
Aveda salon professionals will, of course, be on hand to discuss bridal hair trends and pointers for perfect wedding day skin care and make-up. Each wedding planning event will also offer recommendations for local environmentally conscious service providers including caterers, florists and printers.
At each event, brides-to-be will have the chance to win Aveda bridal services or product packages, eco-vendor products or an Adele Wechsler veil or headpiece. The Grand Prize winner will receive an Adele Wechsler Eco-couture gown or a honeymoon at the Hamanasi Adverture & Dive Resort, an eco-friendly resort hotel in Belize.
