In honor of April Earth Month, I decided to do a product line feature on Simply Organic. From candles and soaps to volumizers and scalp healing treatments, this eco-friendly line is ideal for beauty clients who are conscious about the environment and the chemicals they are putting into their hair.
For the past month, I have been periodically trying out various products from an eco-friendly
line called Simply Organic.
After sitting in our mail room for a little while, when the 21 pound of products popped up on
my desk I was a little overwhelmed at all of the different products the collection had. From candles
and bars of soap to volumizing and scalp treatments…this eco-friendly line had lots to offer. Upon
opening the box, I got a strong whiff of the products and they smelled wonderful (it was from the
soap and candles). Each product has a similar (or the same) kind of aroma – a botanical, earthy scent.
They actually smell...organic!

SCENTED BEESWAX CANDLES
These candles are perfect for a spa environment. Right now, I have a candle sitting on my desk
and every so often I get a whiff of it, and it's not even lit. The great thing about each of these
candles is you don't have to get up close to the candle to smell it; you can smell it even if it's
about a foot away from you. They actually work.
They are long-lasting and clean burning. There are no toxins or soot
common to commercially produced paraffin candles. These are good candle
choices because you can never be sure which clients may have asthma
problems, allergies or seem to get headaches when around paraffin or
chemically scented candles.
The candles come in: Lavender, Rose, Green
Tea and Mandarin scents. Simply Organic Candles
BARS OF SOAP
Do you work in a nail salon or spa? If so, these are great handmade soaps for your clients to
use when they go to wash their hands in between getting acrylic or gel nails. You can even put
them in your salon/spa restroom. These soaps are free of artificial colors, fragrances or preservatives.
There are no animal products, animal by-products and they are not animal-tested. These soaps
are also suitable for washing your face. The come in: Oatmeal Lavender, Shea Butter, Rosemary
and Lemon Grass.

SHAMPOOS
Between Simply Organic's Refresh, Volume, Moisture Rich and Everyday Hair and Scalp Wash
each of these Shampoos will help your clients reach the results they want depending upon what
they are looking for.
Everyday Hair and Scalp Wash – Gentle cleansing, repairs,
strengthens, hydrates and protects hair.
Volume Hair and Scalp
Wash – Provides fullness and body, strengthens hair, replaces
essential oils, and adds shine.
Moisture Rich Hair and Scalp
Wash - Ideal for dry and brittle
haired clients, nourishes thirsty
hair.
Refresh Hair and Scalp Wash – This is a natural
clarifying
shampoo; it lifts away pollutants naturally without over
drying hair. Simply Organic Shampoos
SPRAYS
These sprays will not weigh your hair down and you can feel an instant effect.
Rejuvenating Hair and Scalp Sealer – A weightless
way to fight
frizz, seal in volume and help protect hair
from the damage of heat
styling and environmental stress.
I used this product especially after
using the Volume
Shampoo and before using a blow dryer and flat iron.
Sun
Shine Heat Activated Shine Complex – Mist this
about 6 inches away
from your client's hair. After using
a blow dryer, flat iron, curling
iron etc., you will see how
the shine takes effect. I got kind of
addicted to this product
and now I'm almost out! It adds just an extra
touch to the
hair.
Volume, Volumizing and Thickening Spray
– This
was another one of the sprays I used all of the time after
shampooing and conditioning with Simply Organic.
I find that it works
best if you spray this at the roots.
It will really amp up your client's
hair, naturally.
Control, Medium Hold Hair Spray – Idea
product to help keep any updo in place or to help control those
fly-aways! (From left to right) Volume, Sun Shine, Control and Rejuvenating-Simply Organic Sprays
HAIR CRÈME ADD ON'S AND EXTRAS

(From left to right) Anti-frizz, Scalp Sea, Retreat, Bangs & Ends, Volume, Soft Gel, Retreat Simply Organic Hair cremes/lotions
Now, for my favorite part of the entire collection-the hair crème/lotions! Each of these hair crèmes is customizable toward any client. If a client has really bad split ends/layered hair, you may want to try the Retreat Split Ends Treatment or Bangs & Ends Defining Crème.Anti-Frizz Calming Crème is ideal for frizzy hair types; they can make your client's hair simpler on those hot and humid days. Volume, Volumizing & Thickening Treatment works well with any of the other Simply Organic Volume products. It's a natural treatment for thin and fine hair. It helps strengthen the hair shaft so it gives the effect of thicker and fuller hair.
Scalp Spa, Rejuvenating Hair & Scalp Treatment is aimed towards those who must rely on chemical relaxers, hair color services or those receiving medical treatments resulting in a sensitive scalp. If your client is looking for a little more texture, try Soft Gel Moisturizing Crème-Gel. Finally, if your client has color treated hair try using Retreat Color Therapy Treatment. It locks in color and keeps your hair moisturized. Another rememberable aspect about each of these products is that even if I used a big glob (about a half dollar size) it didn't weigh my hair down. Cool.
Tune in next time,
Lauren
