I met Miguel Gutierrez last year in Los Angeles when he was representing the UK at the American Crew FACE OFF Awards. This global hairdressing and grooming contest drew competitors from around the world. At the evening reception, I sat with Gutierrez and discovered his alter-ego--The Nomad Barber.
Gutierrez has brought his barbering skills to exclusive salons and shops in Liverpool, London and Australia but he is preparing to pack his gear and take his kit on a worldwide barbering tour that begins on June 12. He is proof-positive that the skills of a beauty professional are portable, transferrable and globally-relevant. As Gutierrez says, "Everybody needs a haircut."
