This quarantine creativity is inspiring.  The Getty Museum in Los Angeles put out the call to all their housebound fans to re-create a masterwork using whatever they had on hand.  The results were suitable for framing.

TAKE COVER

Face Maskshave been a topic of debate during the COVID-19 crisis. The public was initially urged not to purchase masks unless suffering from the coronavirus or especially vulnerable to the virus so that the supply was sufficient to reach and protect healthcare workers.  With news from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now encouraging everyone to wear a mask whenever in public, here are some options for future face protection, one that is a clever DIY from Tora Smart and the other that gives back.  There is also a mask with a plastic window so people who are hearing impaired can stay safe while still being able to communicate.

Also a reminder that Moms are the best.❤❤❤❤

[innovación del día] Una idea muy sencilla pero valiosísima para cuidar y generar inclusión: mascarillas especiales para las personas con problemas de audición🙌🏼 #quererteesinnovar #granidea #innovacion #cariño . Repost Posted @withregram • @majicallynews INCLUSION MATTERS: A college senior, studying education for the deaf and hard of hearing, is making masks with a plastic window so people who are hearing impaired can stay safe while still being able to communicate. - Ashley Lawrence, who saw a missed opportunity for inclusion of deaf and hearing impaired people, took it upon herself to start making these much-needed masks. - "I felt like there was a huge population that was being looked over," Lawrence said. "We're all panicking right now and so a lot of people are just not being thought of. So, I felt like it was very important that, even at a time like this, people need to have that communication." - In just two days, Ashley already had dozens of orders from several states. To order one of Lawrence's masks, reach out to her at dhhmaskproject@gmail.com. - You’re a hero Ashley and thank you for doing your part to help out during this uncertain time. We appreciate you! WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS

In Las Vegas, hotels and casinos on The Strip lit up with messages of hope, like We Love You and #VegasStrong. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal:  “The galvanizing messages graced MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, the Flamingo, Mandalay Bay/Delano, Park MGM, Aria, New York-New York, The Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, and the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the High Roller at the Linq Promenade. Former Nevada Gov. and Sen. Richard Bryan said Wednesday that the show of solidarity was crucial to the city’s capacity to overcome the coronavirus outbreak.”
