George McLarty Joins Aware as VP of Research & Development
Aware Products, a developer and manufacturer of hair care, bath and body and skin care products, announced recently the addition of George McLarty as Vice President of Research & Development. In this role, McLarty will bring added depth and breadth to an Aware team recognized for superior product development, innovation and best in class operations and customer service.

Aware Products, a developer and manufacturer of hair care, bath and body and skin care products, announced recently the addition of George McLarty as Vice President of Research & Development. In this role, McLarty will bring added depth and breadth to an Aware team recognized for superior product development, innovation and best in class operations and customer service.
Mr. McLarty has extensive experience across the cosmetics and personal care industry, including all aspects of the research, development and manufacturing process. Through nearly four decades in the business, he has overseen R&D, quality assurance and manufacturing for skin, hair and body care products for some of the leading companies in the world, including brands distributed across all retail platforms: mass, masstige, specialty and prestige. In addition to contract manufacturing, he has held staff R&D positions with Elizabeth Arden, Revlon and Procter & Gamble.

At Aware, McLarty will provide leadership in relation to customer-focused innovation, taking customers’ ideas and bringing innovation to them with new technologies and new ingredients. To fulfill this mission, he and his team will be looking beyond traditional beauty to seek out disruptive technologies and ingredient stories from other industries such as pharmaceuticals and food.
“George has a long and stellar career and is truly a leader in the field. Having led R&D, Compounding, Operations, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, he has a first-hand view of the entire lifecycle of a product, and everything it takes to get a new product from concept phase all the way into the hands of a consumer,” said Chuck Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Aware Products.

McLarty has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and an MBA with concentration in Management from the State University of New York. He is a Member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists.
