Out of 2,500 entries, 30 countries, 70 national winners from five continents were here in Paris to crown three people Global Winners. Out of the 40 semi-finalists from around the globe, I am so excited to bring you the winners, straight from the City of Lights.

Their interpretation of the Just Naked Collection was truly fantastic--and definitely deserves celebration. The competition opened in February, as entrants were invited to interpret a key hair trend for 2010's "Just Naked" collection, a collection based on reduction and refined simplicity. Colorists from around the world did this by using Goldwell color to create their own unique take on the trend.

At the end of the evening, you know what song is stuck in my head? "Oh what a night..."  Seriously.What a night. It began with a champagne reception at BON--a beautiful restaurant in an amazing spot in Paris--with glass ceilings, chandeliers and white couches with fur pillows--seriously an incredible place.

Then, we headed out to the Award Ceremony, which couldn't have been more beautiful. Breathtaking table settings (decorated with chess pieces to represent 2011's collection: Play Strong!), amazing music, beautiful people. One of the most memorable parts of the evening was an opening performance by an aquatic acrobat dancing in a bowl of water... it sounds crazy but it was INCREDIBLE! She sloshed around in a big bowl full of water to music by Evanescence. It is SURE to be one of the things that will be remembered for years and years.

Then, armed with international flags representing their countries, along with fierce faces,
out came the models down the catwalk, representing this year's Just Naked interpretations. Stunning!!!
