Wella’s Hairdressers at Heart (HAH) initiative teamed up with Wella's sister beauty brand, OPI Nail Products, for its inaugural Cut-A-Thon event on Wednesday, November 16 at Wella Studio LA, 6109 Desoto Ave. in Woodland Hills, California.

With proceeds benefitting Safe Place for Youth, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that provides lasting solutions for young people facing homelessness, the event was a resounding success with $9,000 being raised in one afternoon of hair and nail services.

More than 200 guests donated and received services from the team of  Wella Top Artists, stylists at Wella partner salons and OPI educators who volunteered their time and talent. These beauty pros are some of the  most in-demand artists in the industry and they represent the HAH mission of giving back while uplifting and supporting their salon community.

“Hairdressers at Heart’s mission is rooted in supporting the professional education of beauty and salon professionals everywhere, as well as empowering the work they do to improve and enrich their communities,” said Christina Soffin, Director, North American Education Operations and Studios. “With our first-ever Hairdressers at Heart Cut-A-Thon, we got to bring the worlds of professional beauty and charity together, raising funds to help young people dealing with the struggles of homelessness, while also shining a light on this important issue.”

People who are not able to attend the event may still donate to SPY at the following Website: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/safeplaceforyouth
