John Amico salons are getting ready for the holiday season by kicking off their first Annual Bear Hugs Holiday Workshop Drive for thousands of needy families across the United States. Partnering with Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop, John Amico is calling out to all John Amico salon professionals to join the cause.

So how can your salon help? Join John Amico’s team and host a Bear Hugs Workshop—for many families you may be their only source of support this holiday season. Here’s how you can host a workshop of your own:

Choose a family in your community to support. (If you don’t personally know a family, contact a local church to get the name of a family in need this holiday season.)

Select a location, it could be your salon on a Sunday afternoon or on a Monday night or (a home, church, school, office, etc.) to host a Bear Hugs Workshop. Invite your clients to bring their children, your friends, family and local guests.

Collect donations from attendees. Participants will contribute $20 to create a bear to keep the proceeds going to the family in need. (John Amico recommends 20 participants per workshop.) During the event the children and guests will hand stuff an animal, make a wish on a star and name it with a birth certificate and get to take home a goody bag.

If you would like to take the charity a step further, donate the bears to a children’s hospital, shelter etc.

If you are interested in joining the Bear Hugs Holiday Workshop Drive contact Noah’s Ark at 1-866-HUG-NOAH or e-mail dina@noahsarkworkshop.com or visit www.noahsarkworkshop. For more information on John Amico visit www.johnamico.com
