Just because clients are shopping, perhaps traveling and generally out of their routine doesn’t mean they should take a break from their skin care regimen. In fact, just the opposite is true!
“Holiday 2015 is about helping clients to participate in the fun of the season while continuing to take care of themselves,” says Pevonia educator Kendall Weatherman. “When they stick to their daily wellness and skincare regimen, they won’t have to scramble to get their skin presentable for the next event or use makeup to conceal telltale signs of late nights. Instead, they’ll show up for festivities frazzle-free and glowing so they can relax and enjoy themselves.”
“Be your clients’ concierge. Invite them to write up their gift list, relationship and desired budget, and you do the rest.” —Kendall Weatherman, Pevonia
Cuccio President Patricia Freund advises taking cues from department stores, where holiday accounts for a large percentage of the year’s sales volume. “Start in early October to preview what you’ll have available so clients will know that your salon is a destination for the holidays,” Freund says. “Then designate a holiday area that’s obvious and inviting. Develop a holiday menu with festive specialty services that coordinate with your retail products—make it all go together! During the service, mention that you have the products at your gift display.”
Clients look to you to model beauty, so make sure that your skin shows you practice what you preach!
“Hands are first to show our true age, especially in our industry due to the chemicals, bleach and water all day long in the salon,” adds Jennifer Jeziorski, vice president sales and marketing for Pharmagel. “Use our Hand Therapé Sanitizer between client visits to hydrate and moisturize your hands while protecting yourself from cold and flu germs.”
Ageless and Bright by Timeless By Pevonia
Pevonia educator Kendall Weatherman recommends instructing clients to follow this procedure every morning and night:
1. Cleanse neck and face with Timeless Foaming Gel Cleanser by foaming a small quantity between wet palms and working in with fingertips. Rinse with warm water and towel-dry.
2. Tone skin by applying Timeless Radiant Skin Toner to a cotton ball and wiping neck and face.
3. Treat with Timeless Collagen Serum, applying a small quantity and massaging until absorbed.
4. Apply a small amount of Timeless Collagen Moisturizer to neck and face to moisturize.
Bonus Step: To achieve maximum results from the regimen, use the Timeless Gentle Foaming Scrub 2-3 nights per week to remove dulling dead skin cells.
