Ken Cassidy, founder of Kassidy’s Salon Management Consultants, died October 11, 2011. Cassidy had a long career in the professional salon industry as a hairdresser, salon owner, educator and as a salon consultant and coach. His consulting firm, Kassidy’s Salon Management Consultants, offered business resources and educational seminars and programs to help salons and spas grow their business. He was also a long-time advocate for independent stylists working in booth rental locations.
Cassidy was a frequent speaker and seminar leader at educational events and trade shows throughout the country and a member of leading industry trade associations including the Professional Beauty Association, the Day Spa Association, National Cosmetologists Association and NCEA. He was involved in political and legislative activities that allowed him to support and advocate for the professional beauty industry and was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the California Cosmetologists Association.
