MODERN is currently at the standing-room-only Intercoiffure breakout class being led by Luis Alvarez for Aquage, sponsored by Beauty Systems Group. Alvarez is demonstrating his photo shoot techniques and philosophies, along with special occasion styling how-tos, literally bringing a shoot to life on stage. Members are loving the expert insights, practical tips and the beautiful images he is sharing throughout the presentation--including the Aura collection spread recently featured in the special BSG/MODERN SALON Holiday issue.
MODERN also attended the Intercoiffure Gala Awards last night, where awards were presented to members Scott Buchanan for the Cheena O'Seara award, Adam Broderick for the Adolf Biecker Award, Darlene Gage for the first President's Award from Intercoiffure President Lois Christie, and Jo Blackwell—Preston for the Intercoiffure worldwide "Personality of the Year" award.
