At a recent Modern Salon Magazine photo shoot at the Eva Scrivo Salon in NYC, we decided to find out what celebrity manicurist Julie Kandalec was planning to do with the nails.  “We focused on a picture from the book ‘Eva Scrivo on Beauty’,” says Kandalec. The photo is of Eva’s mother from 1960’s and both just loved her nails. “We decided to create a modern version for this session,” says Kandalec. “These nails are long and very very pointy. This trend is still in style today.  Lady Gaga, Fergie, Rhianna.  The Stiletto nail is very very hot.”  To create the look, Kandalec starts with a full coverage nail tip. “The tip here is the longer the nail is, the more length you have to work with to get as pointy as possible.”
